For Immediate Release: CLM receives follow-on funding for US Army battle lab data analysis tool development
Fort Rucker, AL — August 25, 2008 — CLM software has been funded to continue development of the Advanced Data Analysis and Presentation Toolkit (ADAPT) simulation data capture and analysis software for the US Army Air Manuever Battle Laboratory (AMBL). CLM fielded a successful proof-of-concept software release in June providing an initial operational capability. The current development effort will focus on extending the data analyst’s capability for rapid simulation situational and performance assessment. The ADAPT tool suite facilitates analysis and archiving of simulated joint tactical operations executed using Boeing’s Advanced Tactical Combat Model (ATCOM) simulation tool. ADAPT is a cross-platform set of applications supporting GNU/Linux, most Unix-family OS’s, and legacy operating systems such as Microsoft Windows®.
The Air Maneuver Battle Lab’s mission is to examine advanced concepts and technology through warfighting experimentation and technology demonstrations to assess if they enhance the commander’s ability to fight and win on the 21st-century battlefield.
The ADAPT software is a separate, post-processing tool and not a part of the ATCOM product.
